Water Back-Up Coverage

Water Back-Up Coverage is an optional coverage available that provides protection for perils that are not covered by a standard policy or a separate flood insurance policy. This coverage applies to water back-up from sewage and sump pump overflow and is intended to pay for personal property damage and structural damage should such an event occur. It is worth noting that many kinds of water damage are covered perils under a standard policy.
